I have always had an interest in Personal Development. Growth and Self-Improvement has always spoken to me. Around 10 years ago is when it really became an obsession. I remember I was driving to be in a friend's wedding, it was about a 10 hour drive; and I had an old cassette which was given to me by my Godfather. If you don’t know what a cassette is, you can look it up. Hahaha.
The cassette was called 'The Master Key to Riches' by Napoleon Hill. I can remember as I listened how I felt. I can remember the green and flat of the plains and the bright blue sky ahead of me as the Rocky Mountains started to fade behind me. I remember the tears streaming down my face. I was impacted deeply by his words.
Probably the phrase I remember most is, “A negative thought and a positive thought cannot occupy the same space.” Hill outlined what he called "The Science of Personal Achievement". He talked about the power of the mind and what it could accomplish when it was focused on a "Definite Major Purpose". I was hooked.
I wanted to feel the Joy of understanding and Clarity every day; seeking to Align my Actions with my Intentions. I wanted to bring that to others. I read and researched about Personal Development constantly.
Honestly, the reason I do what I do is because if I didn’t, I would go mad. I'd be miserable. Like so many of us we tend to tell ourselves stories and over complicate things in our lives. If I do not commit today and every day to Communicate more Effectively, to Focus on what matters most, to live Simply, to Grow and to find Implementable strategies which have High Impact; I will over complicate everything in my life.
I do not want anyone to go through the mental and emotional turmoil of an unhappy, stressed out, over complicate life. This is how I do my part. I love being one more voice to help people live with more Happiness, Enthusiasm, Success, Passion and Purpose!
I also dream about what it would be like if we were all firing on all cylinders so to speak. How cool would the world be, if everyone was operating at their Highest Potential and Ultimate Happiness? I just think it would be so Awesome! Nobody is perfect or could keep it up all the time; but I think anything I can do to help more people move closer to the Truest Version of themselves is a Great Day. I Love doing my part. I look forward to continuing to Learn and Grow and find better ways to quickly move people closer to their Core; their Essence. I look forward to helping them take Bold Decisive Action toward their Goals.
